Some psoriasis sufferers have treated themselves successfully by using iodine solution. This treatment assumes that psoriasis is caused by a fungus. I don’t know of any research that has been done to prove or disprove this.
The treatment for psoriasis is iodine solution at seven per cent (sold as Lugol’s Iodine Solution), as it is capable of precipitating the proteins of the body of the fungus and destroying them completely in a short time.
If the spots are fairly small, they must be painted with the solution 10-20-30 times twice a day for five days and then once for another ten days so that they become very dark.
Letter From Alex (who had success treating his psoriasis with iodine):
I just had to post a word of encouragement on the use of Iodine for psoriasis as I look at my lovely hands and how clear the skin is. I started in Feb. (I think) with Lugol’s and Iodoral. I was on prednisone before that and that clears the rashes up. They always come back immediately when I am done with the steroid.
It is with out a doubt 100% the iodine, it worked so wonderfully that even my stubborn Dad is doing it now he has had debilitating psoriasis for over 30 years. We have tried just about everything for this condition and nothing has come close to iodine. This is truly a miracle, I wish I had thought to take photos of my hands when they were so bad, just picture a slice of pizza stripped of toppings and cheese, the red bubbly crust used to be my hands.
